We are family-owned and operated company providing customers with access to the newest, organic textiles. As our name suggests, the majority of our products are made from bamboo materials, primarily bamboo viscose. We are a retailer holding products from the best brands in the eco-friendly clothing market. We strive to offer domestically-made products from companies working in the USA.

Most of our customers will know us as the largest bamboo sock provider in our area. Along with socks, we do carry fine linens including bedding, towels and more. We also carry women’s and men’s apparel, including yoga and athletic wear.

We believe that bamboo is just as friendly to your skin as it is to the earth. It’s soft, breathable, anti-microbial, and a sustainable source of textiles. Bamboo also provides natural protection from harmful UV rays making our apparel perfect for sunny San Diego!

>>Our Story
After spending two years in Milan and shopping at the various farmers markets in the different piazzas, 21 year-old son Sean Hamilton saw the value and success of the face-to-face customer relationship. At the same time, he took courses in textile science, learning about the many lifestyle and environmental benefits of using bamboo and other eco-friendly materials. Sean, together with his father Rick Hamilton, established La Jolla Bamboo Boutique a retailer for eco-friendly products in the summer of 2010.

Farmers markets began sprouting up throughout San Diego and we have offered our products at several markets throughout the county. Through the support of local farmers markets and loyal customers, we are excited to open up our very own storefront location in the iconic seaside community of downtown La Jolla!

Our family is dedicated to serving the La Jolla community as well as the greater San Diego area as it’s the place that we’ve called home for four generations. We plan to open more locations throughout San Diego to be able to provide our products to more customers.

Whether you’re waking up from a good night’s rest in bamboo sheets or have your bathroom stocked with bamboo towels and robes, or are slipping your feet into the softest socks, and throwing on any bamboo shirt or clothing, we’re confident that other than being a perfect temperate climate for bamboo clothing, San Diego will have a consumer climate grow to appreciate one of the newest, natural fibers out on the market.
